I just booked my ticket to Aberdeen. On September 8th, I'll leave Minneapolis in the afternoon at 3:30 for Chicago. Two hours in O'hare Airport should be enough for me to pass the custom and locate the bmi airlines. I had never heard about the bmi airlines until I saw its name through online cheap ticket search. My one-way ticket from Minneapolis to Aberdeen costs about 480 dollars, which is a good deal. For safty, before booking the ticket, I used Wikipedia to do a research on bmi, and it turned out it's the second largest carrier in the United Kingdom with a full name "British Midlands".
Anyway, from Chicago I'll fly to Manchester in England in seven and an half hours. They only give me one hour between arrival and my next flight to Aberdeen. I hope entering UK won't waste me too much time, but who knows? The terrorists in London already created tensions in the country and high security in major airports. It seems bmi only operates two flights per day from Manchester to Aberdeen, one in the morning and the other in the late afternoon. Nobody wants to spend 10 hours in Manchester airport! Well I'll tell you my story later on.
